Installation of a child safety seat is very important. If you're involved in an accident with your kids in the vehicle with you, you'll be happy that you spent a few extra minutes making sure that everything was properly in place. Here are some tips from Braddock Motors to help you along.
  • Choose a car seat based on your child's age. Babies will use a rear-facing car seat. Toddlers and small children benefit from a five-point harness in a forward-facing position. Booster seats are for older kids that need a little bit of height added to their seat.
  • It's safer to buy a car seat brand new. Don't accept a used seat that is expired or has been used for a long time.
  • Refer to your owner's manual to see if you have the appropriate anchors needed for installation. If using the seat belt, make sure it's locked.?
