Vehicles come equipped with tire pressure sensors on all four tires. These sensors are designed to let you know if there is an issue with one or more of your tires. The most common reasons why your tire pressure light is illuminated includes:

  • Too much air in your tires. You can over-inflate your tires. This could lead to your tires being at a higher risk of a blowout.
  • Not enough air in your tires. Your tires will need air periodically after frequent driving. You could also be experiencing the air in your tires condensing because of cold weather.
  • If you check the air pressure in all four of your tires and don't think the air pressure levels need to be adjusted, there could be a problem going on with the sensors themselves. You can make an appointment to have them checked out.
